Essay Topics About the Nuremberg Trials
Essay Topics About the Nuremberg TrialsAre you trying to write essays about the Nuremberg trials? I used to be the same way. It was hard for me to understand why I should write about a person, group or a crime. Now that I have learned more about the trials and what they represent I feel more comfortable writing about them. The trial was the result of the battle that pitted two ideologies against each other in the courtroom. Both Hitler and Stalin wanted to establish their place as the victor, or at least their ideas would be accepted. Those in the courtroom turned on those two leaders, and those leaders who did not follow the ideology of Hitler and Stalin were tried and executed.I will never forget being arrested for being an anti-Nazi, while all around me people were being arrested for being against the war in the World War II. We were thrown into a prison camp, all of us young men. We were mostly Jewish, and about fifty people out of the thousand that were crammed in there were reli gious Jews. No one asked us our religion, we were allowed to read and pray to our God.Throughout the years I have researched and wrote about many topics that deal with the Nuremberg trials. One topic is the issues surrounding the death camps. There were numerous people who committed suicide in the death camps, because they were either tortured or starved to death. There are other essay topics that deal with how this whole thing got started. Many people were either Nazi sympathizers or simply did not want to believe what was going on. Others were political prisoners, who were sent to work in Nazi camps. One of the most interesting topics was sent by Hans Frank to EvaBraun, asking her to send him a letter back and forth. They wrote so many letters back and forth, that they were constantly interrupted. It seemed like such a funny story at the time, but I realized that there was more to it. Eva was sent to these camps as part of her role in the Hitler regime. She was a Hitler youth, and w as put in charge of the death camps.Another thing that I learned about the Nuremberg trials was how many people were interned because of their political beliefs. It seemed that there were many people put in the camps that didn't deserve to be there. Some of them had friends that helped them. In some cases there were close family members that helped these people get out of the camps. The Nuremberg trials had a lot of controversy, which was because of the flaws in the system that was set up. Yet, it was an important part of history, because if the world had been more open minded, maybe things could have been different.
